I had to understand how it works and the software's visual limits to construct better visualizations according to the brand guidelines.
In order to achieve unity and consistency in the Business Intelligence unit, we developed a template that standardized the visualization of data, the sizes of elements, and their distribution. This not only ensured consistency across different areas but also maintained the overall system's uniformity. By implementing this template, we were able to streamline the BI processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.
I had the chance to delve into the workings of the software and gain knowledge on how to design and apply a template within the system.
In order to enhance the overall usability of a system, it is imperative to focus on improving the user interface and user experience. This can be achieved by ensuring system-wide consistency, adopting consistent navigation patterns and hierarchy, managing colors and fonts, and ensuring their consistency across the system.
We created a color palette based on the brand colors to organize the whole system. According to the software management, we created safe areas and made different distribution alternatives in the canvas with examples. We also developed a manual with rules of use to create new boards and not lose the consistency of those produced in the templates.
